Happiest of New Years!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!! I truly hope this 4th day of January is finding you all wonderfully well! We had a wonderful vacation, and are ready to get the new year started with lots of fun and exciting classes, workshops, and monthly offerings to choose from! We were also able to take a buying trip over the break, and came back with some wonderful and unique one of a kind stones from Brazil and Peru! You guys know I am a onsey-twosey kind of girl, so come early for the best selection! Choose from eggs, spheres, pyramids, wands, obelisks and more! We had so much fun picking them by hand, and we hope you will too! I am in the process of restocking the shoppe, and getting in new merchandise every week! We have ongoing classes that happen each and every month~ what a great way to get in some "you" time in the new year! We offer Shamanic Journeying the first and third Wednesdays of the month (contact Sharon at Sculptsc@aol.com), Guided Meditation classes with Saundra Saundra the first Friday of every month, yoga classes twice a week, a discussion group for Spiritual living the second Friday of every month, and a drumming group the last Sunday of every month~ just for starters!! We also have so many wonderful and amazing people in our community offering classes and workshops on all kinds of topics in the coming year! Keep an eye on the calender and this blog for the latest updates! Jan 15th~ Touch Drawing Workshop with Susan 2pm-4pm $95 All supplies included. Experience the creative expression of your inner child, or self, through the Touch Drawing process. Engage in inner reflection as you listen to music of the chakras to guide you through your thoughts, emotions and feelings as you play with your fingers and hands on paper that sits upon paint on a board. We will begin with explanation, meditation and energy exercises to prepare us to paint. Then spend time in silent reflection as we paint to the music and have discussion of our creations as we wind down our experience.There is no art experience necessary to participate as we are not concentrating drawing pretty pictures. This is time to go inward,reflect and create from a spiritual presence and giving the body permission to speak through movements of the fingers and hands on paper. This very simple art form can open the door to the universal soul. This process is being used therapeutically in healing and rehabilitation as it has evolved from when Deborah Koff-Chapin first started this technique. Susan has always been an artist at heart from early childhood and also interested in alternative health areas for over 30 years. She has a BS in Interior Design, studied Fashion Illustration and Commercial Art and is an active member of Seven oaks Art League and Trenhelm Art League here in Columbia. After many years of studying and learning about many different healing modalities, Susan became attuned to Reiki in 2007 and became a Reiki Master shortly thereafter. " Art in Spirit through Touch Drawing" is her way of bringing art and energy healing together to create the space and energy to bring forward the emotions and releasing them through the art process.
Jan 22nd~ Treasure Map/Vision Board Class 12noon-4pm FREE Join us for this fun class where we discuss the energies of 2012~ The year of the Water Dragon~ and work on what we want to manifest in the coming year. Be sure to bring a board for your map, old magazines, scissors, and glue. You might also want to bring something to snack on! HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US!!
